Using the Mirco Air Easy Start 364 I will try to start my Dometic NXT 15000 BTU air conditioner using a A 1500 watt inverter and a Inergy Apex Solar Generator. I do not recommend using a 1500 watt inverter to run a air conditioner of this size but using the Esy Start I was able to start the Air Conditioner and run it for a cycle. This experiment proves that you can run a 15000 BTU air conditioner off of a small 2000 watt inverter generator. This is extremely handy in boondocking situations or just cooling off your RV on the roadside for lunch. Small generators are very fuel efficient and portable which makes them a perfect fit for a boondocker on a budget. The installation is very simple and will be covered in this video. I even ran the Air Conditioner off my Apex solar generator with total success. I still say the minimum you should run a an air conditioner that size is a 2000 watt gas generator.
